A delegation from EGGA - Galvanizing Europe has met with Miguel Garcia Jones, member of Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra’s Cabinet for Climate, Net Zero, and Clean Growth to explore the support that could be given to SMEs within Europe’s batch hot dip galvanizing industry - to ensure that we can continue to provide the long-term durability and circularity for steel products.

We are delighted that Joana Canas has joined our staff, as Director-EU Policy. Joana brings over 15 years of EU-level experience to the EGGA team, including 10 years as Policy and Communications Adviser to a Vice-President of the European Parliament among other roles in the Parliament, mainly in trade policy.

On Tuesday 26 March 2024, the CEN and CENELEC European Committee for Standardization and the European General Galvanizers Association (EGGA-Galvanizing Europe) signed a partnership agreement that will foster collaboration and align the interests of the galvanizing industry in Europe with the standardization ecosystem.
