EGGA-Galvanizing Europe is pleased to announce Carlos García (Spain) as its new President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. EGGA’s presidency rotates between its member associations every 3 years and ensures fresh leadership for an industry association that celebrated its 70th anniversary last year.
Carlos García is president of the Industrias Duero group of companies and represents Asociación Técnica Española de Galvanización (ATEG) within the EGGA Board. As President, Carlos García will work with the association’s staff team and 14 national associations to ensure recognition of the galvanizing industry’s vital contribution to the sustainability of Europe’s construction, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors. He will also lead the industry towards the next global gathering for the sector – Intergalva 2027 to be held in Malaga, 14-18 June 2027.
His first duty, during the recent AGM in Istanbul, was to present outgoing President, Norbert Beljaars (Benelux), with the prestigious EGGA Pin in recognition of his valuable 3-year term of office that has included a significant strengthening of the association’s policy presence in Brussels and the highly successful Intergalva 2024 held in Bruges.
