EGGA at the European Parliament

On 10 November 2015, a delegation of industry representatives, organised by the European General Galvanizers Association (EGGA) and International Zinc Association-Europe, have visited the Parliament.

The visit was well attended and representatives from almost all National Associations participated in our event in Brussels. The day included briefings on current issues from Reimer Boege MEP (Germany), Julie Girling MEP (UK) as well as other invited MEPs.

This was followed by a lunch hosted by Paul Ruebig MEP (Austria) that was attended by an impressive 12 MEPs from 8 countries who were seated with our representatives for informal discussions. The aim of this lunch was to debate the opportunities to strengthen research, capacity and employment in the galvanizing industry.

The event was an excellent opportunity for the galvanizing industry to learn about the role of the European Parliament and its importance for our business.
